 LATEST: Sexy ELIZA DUSHKU has come from nowhere to lead the race for the new WONDER WOMAN movie.
After months of speculation, the actress has declared she wants the superheroine role - and experts feel sure she's a leading contender because she's a favourite actress of writer/director JOSS WHEDON.
Dushku, who worked with Whedon on cult TV show BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and spin-off ANGEL, says she'd like to be considered for the role.
Speaking to film website MovieHole.net at Saturday's (01OCT05) Wizard World Convention in Boston, Massachusetts, Dushku said, "Joss is doing a little movie called Wonder Woman. I'd slap on the Dukes for that!"
Others reportedly in contention for the Wonder Woman lead include Dushku's former Buffy co-star CHARISMA CARPENTER, KIM BASINGER and MISCHA BARTON.

(User Info | Send a Message) | If Eliza Dushku does this movie, I just hope she does justice to the Wonder Woman persona.
Granted, when Linda Carter played W.W. in the '70's she did okay. The only thing that tripped me out was her padded hips. Lets hope Eliza (didn't she play Harry Tasker's daughter in True Lies w/ Schwarzenneger and Curtis?) doesn't doesn't have to wear them. Good Lord, I'll run out of the theater screaming and puking if I see that again!
Also, I think she'd look awesome if the suit was made out of latex with the same colors as the original costume (the one with the bikini skyle and not the wrap around skirt. Remember Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl in Batman and Robin?!) the metal that adorns her forehead and wrists looks real, and she doesn't spout any cliche-ish lines. If her lasso could be used for tieing up criminals or for naughty things, too (lol) She'll also have to kick some major ass while still looking hot. The world needs more female movie heroes and villians dressed in sexy outfits! |
