Wonder Woman - Wonder Woman - Season 3 Date & Box: Red, White, and...
TV and Movie Heroine Scenes AlertsThe 3rd and final season of Wonder Woman picked up where the second year left off: in modern times, with modern adventures and modern people for the amazing Amazon to protect. No wonder that guest stars included hearthrob pop star Leif Garrett and NFL "Fearsome Foursome" Hall-of-Famer Deacon Jones!

Other guest stars this season included Lance LeGault, Craig T. Nelson, Ed Begley Jr., Joe E. Tata, Roddy McDowall, Gavin MacLeod, Russell Johnson, Wolfman Jack, Robert Alda, Shields & Yarnell, Ted Shackelford and Joan Van Ark (before their Knot's Landing team-up!), Rene Auberjonois, Tim O'Connor, Sarah Purcell, Judge Reinhold, Rick Springfield, Dick Butkus, James Sloyan, Jared Martin, and Marc Alaimo.

With the second season scheduled to hit store shelves tomorrow, we have the first heads-up for you about the Wonder Woman - The Complete 3rd Season DVDs! You can expect that to arrive on June 7th, if the current schedule holds.

Moreover, we have your first look at the box art for that! Since the first season set was in a Red box, and the second season set is in a White box, what could be more appropriate than a true Blue box for the final season of Wonder Woman? Here's a look at all three DVD packages for the series; since we're the first site with the 3rd Season artwork, we've decided to sneak our site logo onto the art for now, to maintain our exclusivity for just a little while. We don't usually do that, and we'll remove it once the art is generally available. Stay tuned for more details about this release, once the formal announcement is made.

 New Wonder Woman Information
TV and Movie Heroine Scenes Alerts

It's been a long while since I've written anything, and that is because the SuperHeroine news line has gone dry!

Not a lot of news to report as of late... but out of the shadows comes a nice WHOPPER!

"Ain't it cool news" reports a rumor that Joss Whedon (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame) will scribe and direct the Wonder Woman Movie.  Get this... as Long as X3 doesn't get in the way, it's now slated for a 2006 release!  Fox is pushing hard to get him to direct the next X3 movie, but he has all but officially turned it down for a chance at Wonder Woman.  The rumor could be fact in as little as a few days, the scooper for "Ain't it cool news" adds.

 Lynda Carter returns to television.
TV and Movie Heroine Scenes AlertsBy Borys Kit LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter is going to be a superhero teacher.

She has joined the cast of "Sky High," a family comedy that revolves around a high school for superpowered teens in a world where superheroes are an everyday occurrence.

Carter is set as the school's principal, while Bruce Campbell (news) will play Coach Boomer, who tests students and decides whether they become a sidekick or a hero. Dave Foley (news) will portray Mr. Boy, the teacher of sidekicks.

Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston were previously announced as parents of a boy (played by Michael Angarano) attending the high school. The Walt Disney Pictures project is set to start Tuesday in Los Angeles. Mike Mitchell is directing.

Carter was the lasso-wielding star of television's "Wonder Woman," which ran from 1975 to 1979. Campbell is best known for portraying the cult action hero Ash in Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" film series. He appeared in a cameo in "Spider-Man 2" as the snooty usher. Foley's credits include "The Kids in the Hall," "NewsRadio" and hosting "Celebrity Poker Showdown."

 Terence Stamp Joins Elektra
TV and Movie Heroine Scenes AlertsUSA Today reports that "The Haunted Mansion," "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" and Superman (he played General Zod) star Terence Stamp (pictures) has joined the Daredevil spin-off Elektra.

The paper talked to Jennifer Garner at the premiere of "13 Going on 30," where she mentioned that she'll be heading to Vancouver in two weeks to start filming.

UPDATE: Shortly after the above came online, IGN Filmforce learned that Stamp has been offered the role of Elektra's grizzled, elder mentor Stick.
